My story prediction

Kia Ora

This term me and my group which is called centuars were reading the book the pink umbrella. before we started to read the book we had to look at the pictures and title which is the pink umbrella. When I said *the story is about the umbrella when the story is about sam and his grandma but it can be about the umbrella. If you don’t know what a prediction is then it’s about writing about the story without reading the story and taking guess about whats gonna have nexy, In a simple whay i would say it about taking guess. The guess doesn’t have to be right It can be wrong like i got one wrong in my prediction.

I included mu who am i, mu name and meaning, my special place and some picture of my younger self by explaining what each picture is about. And I think I did an great job making my project and it turned out good. The problem on my project is My things are falling apart and i will fix this problem by gluing it again and better.

Morogram String Art!

Talofa  Lava!

This monday we made morogram string arts at tech in papakura intermediate. We started making it on Monday week 2 and I’m finally now done. We made them to give it to someone special or yourself. Lots of people made it for there self and some also made them for someone who’s important to them. Some people also made  morogram string art for a family member. If you don’t know what morogram string art is well then it’s when you make an alphabet using wood, needle, hammer, and string. My favorite part about making a morogram string art was putting the needle in the wood. The most exciting thing I’m about for next time is that we’re gonna make the game domino’s! These are some examples what a morogram string art might look like. Thank you for reading my blog 🙂

If you were making morogram string art who would you make it for?

My fitness goal.

Kia Ora!

Today on the 19th Feb we ran laps in 10 minutes and my goal was to at least do 6 but I did 5 in 9 minutes we were close to doing 5 goals but the time ran out. Next time I would try to do 6 – 7 so it’s better than what we did today.Me and My friend tashifa were running together and we were always  behind two girl who were running faster than us. They also did five but they did it in less minutes then we did. So we were the fastest in 2dn place. Next time I will try to achieve my goal and do at least 6 – 7 laps.

And if you’re wondering why we were running laps then it’s because our teacher said to challeng our self and see how many laps we can do in under ten minutes. When she started the time we all started running to see how many laps we could do  and I did 5 when my goal was at least 6. How many laps do you think you could ran in under ten minutes?

Read Task – Pepeha

Kia Ora.

This week’s reading task was to read the book in the link and then answer all these questions in your own words. In total there were 14 tasks in 8 slides and we all got the answer from the book called Toku Pepeha. The book was about pareraukawa’s Pepeha were pareraukawa talks about her pepeha. And if you don’t know what a pepeha is then “a pepeha tell about a person such as – What’ there name, were they were born, there mountain, river, iwi, parents name.So it’s just about them there family and their country. You can include anything in your pepeha but in your language. A pepeha tells a person’s family history like their ancestors, waka, river, mountain, and about themself”.

A pepeha is other way to introduce yourself to your friend. Class, teacher, or anyone.  A pepeha is important because it tells you who you are so you never forget you and where  you come from. A pepeha connects you to your marea, ancestors, and  family history.

Beach word search

Kia Ora!

This week on December 11 Tanya told us to do this Cybersmart challenge and this is mine. It is a word search on beach creatures. It may be a little too easy cause of my hint and I only got 5 words but it is also a little hard because some of the words are way too long and the hints are weird. The way you do that is by going to the cybersmart challenges and picking some word and hint to explain – word:Bat Hint: a flying mammal. If you’re having a boring day try making a word search and tell you friend to to it with you. but right now if you wanna try this word search. Thank you bye 🙂

Wavey words

Talofa Lave!

This week we had an activity where we had to make a drawing  which had wavey word but it’s about the beach. but first we had to work on this word wheel where we had to Write as many words as we can think of that relate to the ocean themes below. After that we had to do the drawing with the wavey words and add the word from the wavey word wheel to the wavey word drawing and that’s of it turned out. This is how mine turned out and it’s kinda cool. Thank you bye

Papyrus AI

Assalamualaikum!

This week we were investigating papyrus AI to help us with our argument and writing. Naomi helped us well we were investigating and told us how to use it. The few things Naomi told us was Papyrus AI is not our friend you can’t just tell it your secrets and ask things you would ask your friend because it’s just a program and not your friend.  When we started Naomi told us how we can start the conversation and we started with- Hi my name is________ And I was wondering if you can help make my _______ better.Well we were working with papyrus AI we got told that there are some word that the AI was using but when we used it it said that it was not a good word to use and we shouldn’t use it. And I think that the Papyrus was useful and it helped me improve my writing of my argument and my story. Here is my conversation with papyrus AI.

This is what I added to my argument and what I wrote.

Thirdly , Having an extra day each week to rest, pursue hobbies, or spend time with friends. A four day school week offers students more time to recharge which can lead to improved mental health and increased focus when returned to school.

Thank you!
